The 2009 Cairns Auto Spectacular was held last weekend 25th and 26th September at the Cairns Showgrounds. It was a great success and Special Vehicle Services ran the dyno competition. With a great deal of fantastic help from a bunch of great people including Todd Lewis from Mainline Dyno’s who flew to Cairns to be a part of the event, Martin from Fencing Around and our dedicated crew – Scott Greco, Cameron Bursztynowicz, Casey Bradley, Mark Gawley and Chris Reynolds the weekend was a huge success. We ran a total of 34 cars on the dyno over the 2 days and produced some great results. Our HSV GTS won the V8 Forced Induction Category which we are yet again proud of. Thanks to all those who competed and we hope that next year it can be bigger and better.

Unfortunately this year we have not run our dyno day as per normal in the cooler months of the year. Our workload was overwelming and time did not allow it all to happen. However, we plan on a bigger and better competition mid next year. We would like to have modified vehicles only at the event to make it very much a spectator event. So if you have or intend of having a modified vehicle ready for next year, please keep an eye on this page for details of our next DYNO DAY.
